1984


Pastor Rick Minett, at the age of 29, preached his first sermon to a crowd of 22 people gathered together in a rundown building near downtown Houston in April of 1984. The tiny congregation asked Pastor Rick to assume the role as their pastor. He accepted. The decision was then made to begin a new work and call it  “Grace Community Church.” The church would remain near downtown Houston for the next nine years.

1993


After what can only be described as a series of divine miracles, including the purchase of the future location of the church near the corner of the Katy Freeway and Campbell Road in the city of Spring Valley Village.

2012


The church property grew with the expansion of a new worship center on Campbell Road and Grace Community Church continued to flourish while reaching hundreds of families in the greater Houston area.

2024


After 40 years of pastoral leadership, Pastor Rick retired from the church. Pastor Jason Bollinger would then assume the role of Senior Pastor and build upon that foundation. In 1 Corinthians 3:10, the Apostle Paul wrote, “According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it.” He also wrote, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” To God be the glory! Great things He has done!
